Her Path Wellbeing Coffee Afternoons

Free Support Group for Women in Ashfield & Nottinghamshire

coffee groups for domestic abuse survivours in nottinghamshire, mansfield and ashfield

At NIDAS, we understand that healing after domestic abuse does not end when support sessions finish. Recovery is often a long journey, and having a safe community around you can make all the difference.

That is why our survivor-led community group, Her Path, organises relaxed wellbeing coffee afternoon sessions for women who want connection, understanding, and a supportive space where they can simply be themselves.

These sessions are completely free for current and past NIDAS clients and are designed to help women continue their healing journey in a warm, welcoming, and non-judgemental environment.

What is Her Path?

Her Path is a community group led by NIDAS ambassadors and survivors who understand the realities of rebuilding confidence, finding support, and moving forward after difficult experiences.

The group focuses on:

  • Emotional wellbeing
  • Peer support and connection
  • Reducing isolation
  • Building confidence in a safe environment
  • Creating a sense of community with people who understand

Sometimes the most powerful support comes from sitting with people who simply โ€œget itโ€ without needing explanations.

What to expect at the sessions

The Her Path wellbeing coffee afternoons are informal, relaxed, and pressure-free. There is no expectation to share personal experiences unless you want to.

You can expect:

  • Tea, coffee, and friendly conversation
  • A calm and supportive atmosphere
  • Opportunities to connect with other women on similar journeys
  • A safe space where you are listened to without judgement
  • Supportive community connections in Ashfield and Nottinghamshire

Whether you feel chatty or quiet, you are welcome exactly as you are.

Why community matters in the healing journey

Many women recovering from domestic abuse can experience isolation, anxiety, or a feeling that nobody truly understands what they have been through.

Her Path was created to help change that.

Being around others who understand your experiences can help rebuild confidence, reduce loneliness, and remind you that healing does not have to happen alone.

At NIDAS, we believe recovery is not just about crisis support. It is also about helping women rediscover connection, safety, and belonging within their community.

If you are looking for a womenโ€™s wellbeing support group in Ashfield, a domestic abuse recovery community in Nottinghamshire, or simply a safe and understanding space to connect with others, Her Path is here for you.
