NIDAS secure funding for the 'Empowering Families Futures' project through National Lottery Community Fund

We are delighted to have received Lottery funding for our family service ‘Empowering Families Futures’

With the secured funds from the grant, NIDAS will continue to offer practical and emotional support to help women and families affected by domestic abuse. This means we can support women and families within our local community to feel safer, more confident and have a better understanding of healthy relationships helping them to build a positive family home. The project will consist of:

Crisis intervention:

Initial assessment to identify risk & tailored support plan

Recovery:

Offering 1:1 support to manage safety and provide awareness raising

Long term prevention:

Family intervention to rebuild resilience and positive coping strategies

” This whole family approach with tailored support will continue to make a real difference to families. This will also give us the opportunity to build on our success of the Art Therapy service. We are taking a trauma informed approach providing psychological models of support to help address issues of attachment and trauma for both individuals and families. Helping families to take important recovery steps to rebuilding their lives and family connections.”
