NIDAS receives £70,000 grant from Global’s Make Some Noise

We are delighted to announce that NIDAS has been awarded a generous grant of £70,000 from Global’s Make Some Noise.

Thank you Global's Make Some Noise

We are immensely grateful for the grant, which will go a long way in changing the lives of women and families affected by domestic abuse. The funds will be used to provide our essential services to more survivors within our community to support them on their journey to being free from domestic abuse.

We are incredibly thankful for this opportunity that Global’s Make Some Noise has provided us and we look forward to continuing our mission of breaking the cycle of domestic abuse through our trusted, confidential and bespoke services.

To make this even more exciting; whilst being interviewed on Global Radio, we were told that our original grant had been more than tripled, which left both CEO, Sarah Dagley and Service Delivery Manager, Leanne McGachan speechless.

About Global’s Make Some Noise Grants

Every year, Global’s Make Some Noise grants are awarded to small charities across the country to help fund vital services and improve the lives of people in our communities. They identify a community need and fund charities that are making a real difference to people’s lives. This year, they are distributing grants totalling £2.5 million to small charities and projects following its determined fundraising efforts in 2022.

To add to the already generous grants that charities will receive, Global’s Make Some Noise will also be providing £5,000 in unrestricted funds to support with the growing impact of the cost-of-living crisis and to help to keep charity doors open. They have decided to do this to provide extra support due to many charities facing growing waiting lists and unprecedented demands for their services, whilst facing increased energy bills and costs for frontline staff.

Thank you Global’s Make Some Noise, this means so much to the team here at NIDAS and to all the individuals we support.
