  • Work with children and young people on a 1-1 basis and as part of the wider family, where appropriate

  • Maintain accurate, confidential and up-to-date client records using a database system

  • Work collaboratively within a multi-agency framework, including MARAC processes and referrals

  • Safeguard children and adults in line with statutory responsibilities and organisational policies

  • Promote equality, diversity and inclusion in all aspects of practice

  • Attend training and engage in ongoing professional development

Requirements:

  • Relevant accredited qualification in domestic abuse or related field

  • Relevant degree, NVQ Level 3, or equivalent training/experience (e.g. social work, children and families, youth work, therapy, counselling, mindfulness)

  • Strong understanding of the impact of domestic abuse on individuals and families

  • Experience providing emotional and practical support to survivors of domestic violence

  • Knowledge of risk assessment, safety planning and MARAC processes

  • Strong crisis management skills and the ability to work in emotionally demanding situations

  • High level of IT and literacy skills, with experience maintaining accurate client records

  • Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team

  • Compassionate, empathic and respectful approach to working with clients and partner agencies

  • Commitment to equal opportunities, anti-oppressive practice and inclusive service delivery

  • Willingness to undertake an enhanced DBS check

  • Full driving licence, access to a vehicle and business insurance
